This Is What Happens To Your Body 10 Hours After Putting On Nail Polish

People all around the world consider nail polish as harmless thing, but actually that might not be true. Why? You will find out in this article.

Despite the fact that you do not apply it directly on your skin, it is still dangerous because it contains many chemicals (even more than the face creams). The most dangerous toxins are Dibutyl phthalate, toluene and formaldehyde. These three toxins are even present in the ‘’toxin-free’’ nail polishes and according to a report released by The Department of Toxic Substances Control in California, the concentration of these toxins were higher in the ‘’toxin-free’’ nail polishes.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) was the reason for appearance of cancer when it was tested in the lab on animals. It can be also the cause for long-term fertility issues in newborn boys.

Toluene can be the reason for birth defects, liver damage, developmental abnormalities, kidney damage, headache and nausea. The nervous system will get easily damaged by it. Toluene can affect GABA, dopamine and other neurotransmitter because it will cross the blood-brain barrier. It can even further cause blindness, seizures and decreased cognitive abilities. EU banned this toxin as well. It is added in the nail polishes in order to make them smoother.

Formaldehyde can be the reason for nasal and lung cancer. It is deadly carcinogen according to The International Agency for Research on Cancer. It has ability to evaporate and you can inhale it and that can further lead to irritation of the throat, eyes and nose. It acts as a nail hardening agent.

You should avoid using products that contain these toxins and to choose healthier alternatives.
